Ravi’s journey began in a disciplined military household, shaped by the values of his father—a decorated Air Force pilot. This upbringing instilled in him a strong sense of resilience, integrity, and purpose that would guide him throughout his life.

At just 18, Ravi embarked on a seafaring career that would span over two decades. He spent 12 of those years commanding some of the world’s largest oil tankers, honing his leadership and decision-making skills while navigating the vast oceans. After moving ashore, he shifted course and launched a maritime company, building a reputation for operational excellence in the shipping industry.

The pandemic, however, opened an unexpected new chapter. What began as a small creative studio for his team—meant to boost morale and foster bonding—revealed the transformative power of hands-on creativity. That experience planted the seed for something far greater.

Guided by the belief that working with our hands brings both joy and connection, Ravi took a bold leap into unfamiliar territory. With no background in F&B or retail, he founded inmagicnation by Art Werkx, a multi-activity creative café. It became his toughest yet most rewarding challenge, demanding adaptability, perseverance, and vision.

Through this journey, Ravi has held fast to the idea that real progress comes from listening, learning, and evolving. Together with his dedicated team, he has refined the café’s activities, embraced healthier food options, and reimagined its marketing to better connect with its community.
