What we make, refine and restore
Select a workspace below. Each one sets out the materials we work in, the step-by-step bench process, what we can and cannot take on, and a gallery of finished pieces.
Tailor-made jewellery and customised pieces designed to reflect personal style, meaning, and individuality.
At KS Jewellery, every piece begins with nature's finest treasures and is transformed through skilled hands and heart. From gemstone mining to the final creation, we are committed to quality, craftsmanship, and meaningful designs. A commission usually starts with either a stone you already own or a stone we source for you, and ends with a piece that exists only once. We work in 9K to 24K gold, 916 gold, platinum, palladium and silver, and we are one of the few workshops in Singapore still doing serious two-tone work — alternating yellow and white finishes across a single piece, which requires selective masking and a second plating pass rather than simply joining two metals. Because casting, setting and finishing all happen at our own bench, we can adjust mid-build: raise a gallery to clear a knuckle, thin a shank that reads heavy on the hand, or reset a stone that sits proud. Typical turnaround is three to six weeks depending on stone sourcing and setting complexity.
-
01Gemstone mining
Our journey begins at the source. Natural gemstones are carefully mined from the earth and handpicked for their quality and potential.
-
02Cutting & processing
Each rough stone is precision-cut to enhance its natural beauty, proportions, and brilliance.
-
03Polishing
Fine polishing brings out the clarity, shine, and fire of every gemstone, revealing its true character.
-
04Consultation & design
We listen to your ideas and create a custom design that reflects your style, story, and purpose.
-
05Craftsmanship & setting
Skilled craftsmen bring the design to life with precision setting, expert finishing, and strict quality control.
-
06Final masterpiece
The final piece is a perfect blend of nature, design, and craftsmanship — made to be worn, treasured, and passed on.

Enhancing the brilliance and clarity of gemstones.
Professional polishing to restore brilliance, enhance beauty, and extend the life of your precious gemstones. Gemstones dull over time. Surface wear, dirt and oxidation reduce light return, micro-scratches scatter it, and a stone that was once lively begins to look flat and cloudy. Professional polishing restores the surface without recutting the stone. Each gemstone is polished using precision tools and fine abrasives under controlled pressure. Removing micro-scratches returns a smooth, mirror-like surface, which improves clarity, brilliance and light reflection. Softer and more fragile material is handled with correspondingly gentler technique and lower heat. Where a stone is chipped rather than scratched, we will advise honestly on whether polishing alone is enough or whether a recut is the better outcome.
-
01Before polishing 抛光前
The stone is examined for scratches, chips, inclusions near the surface and any existing damage that polishing could open up.
-
02Removal from setting
Where needed the stone is unset so the girdle and pavilion can be reached — the setting is checked and retipped on return.
-
03Precision polishing 精密抛光
Polished with precision tools and fine abrasives, each stone handled with controlled pressure and technique.
-
04Cleaning & assessment
Ultrasonic and steam cleaning, then assessment under light to confirm improved brilliance and surface quality.
-
05Resetting 重新镶嵌
The stone is reset, claws are tightened and checked, and the piece is given a final polish before handover.
01 · Before
02 · Process
03 · After
The surface is returned to the condition it left the cutter in, without removing meaningful weight.
A true polish improves light return, so the stone reads brighter and livelier on the hand.
Micro-scratches that scatter light are removed rather than filled or disguised.
A sound, sealed surface resists further abrasion and protects the value of the stone.

Professional plating solutions, including gold, rhodium, and customised finishes to enhance appearance and durability.
At KS Jewellery, every piece carries its own history — some faded, some worn, some waiting to be renewed. Through professional plating and surface refinement, we transform each piece into a refined and lasting finish. We plate jewellery, spectacle frames, watch components, decorative brassware, religious statues, trophies, handbag hardware and specialised industrial parts. Beyond conventional electroplating we also apply advanced granite nano coating and high-pressure carbon coating for parts that need wear resistance rather than shine. Thickness matters more than colour: a decorative flash of 0.25 micron will look identical to 2.5 micron on day one and quite different after a year on the hand. We quote the micron thickness up front and recommend heavier deposits on rings, bracelet clasps and anything that meets skin or fabric daily.
-
01Assessment & stripping
The piece is examined for base metal, existing plate, solder joints and stone security. Old plating is stripped where it would trap contaminants.
-
02Degreasing & activation
Ultrasonic degreasing followed by electro-cleaning and acid activation, so the new deposit bonds to clean metal rather than to residue.
-
03Hand-masking
For two-tone and partial finishes, areas are masked by hand with lacquer so the plate lands only where the design calls for it.
-
04Electroplating to spec
Barrel or rack plating in the specified bath, with current density and time set to reach the agreed micron thickness — nickel or palladium barrier first where needed.
-
05Sealing & inspection
Rinse, dry, optional anti-tarnish coat, then inspection under magnification for coverage, colour match and pinholing.
Restoring beauty. Enhancing value. Delivering excellence.
Industrial & fine electroplating
Volume runs, technical substrates and industrial specifications are handled through our plating division. Barrel and rack plating, bath chemistry control, and micron-thickness certification are quoted separately.

Restoring worn, damaged, or aged items back to their original brilliance or better.
We restore aged and damaged statues using a combination of traditional craftsmanship and modern plating techniques — bringing each sacred piece back to life with respect and precision. Work covers crack, breakage and structural repair; re-sculpting of fine detail such as facial features, hands and ornaments; and strengthening where the original structure has weakened. Colour restoration is done by multi-layer hand painting, with traditional pattern detailing and original colour schemes reinstated rather than approximated. Gold pasting (贴金工艺) is applied by hand to crowns, ornaments and intricate patterns, creating a rich, radiant, multi-layered finish that sprayed gold cannot reproduce. The same bench also restores luxury handbags, where the work divides between metal hardware and leather. Both streams are quoted after inspection, and nothing is started before you have seen the assessment.
-
01Respectful intake
The piece is documented and handled according to its significance; we discuss what should be restored and what should be left as-is.
-
02Structural repair
Cracks, breaks and weak joints repaired — laser soldering on metal, filling and reinforcement on composite or wood.
-
03Detail re-sculpting
Facial features, hands and ornaments re-sculpted to revive the original form and expression.
-
04Colour & gold leaf
Multi-layer hand painting to restore vibrancy, then genuine gold leaf applied by hand to raise the crown and ornaments.
-
05Base & final finish
Wooden base sanded, recoloured and refinished; final protective finish applied and the piece inspected before return.

Multi-layer hand painting with traditional pattern detailing, reinstating the original colour scheme.
Genuine gold leaf applied by hand to crowns, ornaments and intricate patterns for a radiant, layered finish.
Each piece is documented and handled according to its significance, with expert craftsmanship and quality guaranteed.

Metal parts plating & coating
From dull, oxidised, or scratched hardware to a renewed luxury finish. Chains are dismantled link by link where the construction allows, because a chain plated while assembled will always show bare metal at the contact points.
- Gold / Rose Gold / Chrome Plating
- Scratch Removal & Polishing
- Protective Coating for Long-Lasting Shine
Leather repair & restoration
We restore worn leather areas to improve both appearance and durability. Combined with metal restoration this delivers a complete transformation — from worn-out to like-new condition.
- Edge Repair & Refinishing
- Crack & Tear Restoration
- Colour Touch-Up & Conditioning
Not just restoration — but a revival of dignity, brilliance, and spiritual presence.

High-precision repair for delicate and intricate work.
We provide specialised laser soldering and restoration services for delicate items, combining precision metal repair with wood base refurbishment to restore both structure and appearance. Laser soldering concentrates heat into a spot measured in fractions of a millimetre, which is what makes it possible to close a crack beside a set stone, rebuild a worn hinge on a spectacle frame, or join a chain link without annealing everything around it. Conventional torch work would put heat through the whole piece. Where an item sits on a wooden base — a statue, a trophy, a display mount — we refinish and restore the base alongside the metal, so the finished object reads as one restored piece rather than a new top on a tired stand.
-
01Assessment
The break, crack or weak joint is examined under magnification, together with anything nearby that heat could damage.
-
02Alignment & fixturing
Parts are aligned and held so the joint closes true before any energy goes in.
-
03Laser soldering
High-precision laser soldering for fine cracks, breaks and weak joints, with minimal heat impact on the surrounding metal.
-
04Finishing
The joint is filed, polished and, where required, replated so the repair becomes invisible.
-
05Wood base restoration
Wooden bases are sanded, recoloured and refinished to remove scratches, restore colour, and enhance durability and finish.

Bespoke watch customisation and dial enhancement, on case, bezel, lugs and crown.
Custom diamond setting on watch case and bezel. Every diamond is meticulously selected and precisely set by master artisans on the watch case, bezel, lugs and crown — fully customised to your design, stone preference and style. Watch setting is unforgiving work. The case is a finished, hardened, water-resistant object with tolerances the maker never intended you to touch, so seats must be cut without distorting the case profile or compromising gasket surfaces. We dismantle the watch, remove the movement, and set on bare metal — never around a live movement. Setting styles include full pavé, micro-pavé, channel-set baguettes, rainbow gradient sapphire bezels, and flush or gypsy setting where a lower profile is wanted. Diamonds are securely set to withstand daily wear while maintaining the integrity and value of your timepiece.
